2025 COLOURSCAPE MUSIC FESTIVAL
on Clapham Common

Sept 13th to 21st - EUROPE'S MOST UNUSUAL ARTS FESTIVAL.

Eye Music Trust presents its flagship Colourscape Festival on Clapham Common in our 70 chamber "Festival Two" Colourscape.

Colourscape opens at 11am on weekends, and concerts take place from 11.30 to 3.30pm. On weekdays we present colour and music workshops for schools, with public openings from 12 to 1pm.

FESTIVAL DIARY:

Saturday September 13th: 11.30 to 3.30pm
We present our 2025 Eye Music Rawsthorn commission by Deborah Pritchard "Adoration of colour" - performed by Voice trio (Victoria, Clemmie and Emily). An immersive sound and music experience inspired by the intense colours in Colourscape. The audience may become part of the music-making with group improvisations led by the singers.

Sunday Sept 14th: 11.30 to 3.30pm
Standard Issue: are a London-based new music collective. They will curate their Colourscape Day with music for flute, clarinet, violin and cello, featuring a range of graphic scores and a new adaptation of Mathis Saunier Lava Cycle (a runner-up in our commission process)

Monday 15th to Friday 19th September
Colourscape open to the public lunchtimes 12 to 1pm only - reduced price entrance.

Saturday Sept 20th: 11.30 to 3.30pm
Composers - Performers - Improvisers. Three events will rotate throughout the day in Colourscape: Hannah Marshall presents "Colours of Sound" for an ensemble of cello, violin, voice, electronics, which was a second commission this year; Inmaculada Cárdenas Serván creates DIÁLOGO CON LA NARURALEZA (Dialogue with nature) on piano. (Inmaculada is a Spanish composer who runs the Sons Creativos new music festival in Galicia); Improvisations by the whole ensemble will happen at regular times throughout the afternoon.
Sunday Sept 21st: 11.30 to 3.30pm
To close the 2025 festival we present Gamelan Lila Cita and Lila Bhawa dancers."A full Indonesean Gamelan with colourful Indonesean dancers will delight the Colourscape audience to close the festival. There will also be a contemporary performance "Eternity Bleeps" by some of the Gamelan players

TIMES: 11 to 4pm weekends Sept 13/14th and 20/21st; AND 12 to 1pm Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Friday 15-19th Sept.

LOCATION: The festival site is on Clapham Common near the Windmill pub SW4 9DE. Nearest access on to the common: Windmill Rd and Rookery Rd.

ADMISSION: Adults: £14; Children £7; Family £40. Reduced prices weekdays
